Research.

May 5, 2009 -- Driving while text messaging or fiddling with an MP3 player is dangerous -- even more hazardous than talking on a cell phone, a new study shows.-http://www.webmd.com/parenting/news/20090505/teens-all-thumbs-when-texting-and-driving

Researchers at Eastern Virginia Medical School and Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters in Norfolk enlisted 21 teens between the ages of 16 and 18 to take part in a series of simulated driving experiments.- http://www.webmd.com/parenting/news/20090505/teens-all-thumbs-when-texting-and-driving

A study in which both the participants and the scientists got sloshed has shown that motorists who talk on cell phones while driving are as impaired as drunk drivers.

A carefree run fueled by your exercise playlist, however, can reportedly get dangerous very easily and lead to a car accident. The director of the Youth Safety Laboratory from the University of Alabama led a study meant to measure the levels of danger that different distractions pose to pedestrians. Music was on the top of the list as the most dangerous distractions.

he study found that talking on the phone while crossing the street is less dangerous than texting or listening to music. Those who cross the street while listening to music are reportedly about 33 percent more likely to be involved in a car accident compared to those who cross the street with no other distraction. Texting while crossing increased a pedestrian's risk by 25 percent.

reflectionn of what i did today.

Today i finish posting all my blogs about my roject that im almost
not really about to kinda finish ina way that is confuing, i shared the
with some of my freinds and they said it was good, then i showed
them the tune i was thinkning of putting in the song and they said it
goes with it and that it was a good thing i was doing this because im
creative and stuff.

QUESTION ?

  1. How was the test?
  2. Did you think you did good?
  3. Did you like the song?
  4. Was it catchy?
  5. Did you understand it?
  6. How did this song help you?
  7. How many times did you have to listen to the song to get it stuck into your head?
  8. Do you recamend this song to the fallowing underclassmen?
  9. If  you heard another song, which one would you choose?

my design brief, design specifications & test for my product.

Design Brief
10. Write a short statement of what you are going to make, why you are going to make it, and for whom you are making it.

Im making a song, Im making this to see if i have any artistic skill; and i am making this for underclassmen (6th graders)

11. What are the requirements for this assignment?

In this assignments theres a lot of requirements, coming up with the lyrics that actually make scince and make it catchy so people can remember it, making the melody of the song, the tune what chords to play, either to pluck the strings or strum them, make it just as long as a real song to explain everything.

12. What are the limitations you have with this assignment?

The limitations are the lyrics, it might not get stuck in their heads or maybe they wont like it, so i have the get the right sound each of them would like.

13. How will you "test" your project?

i'll show it to my freinds first so they can hear it then ask them if it needs any changes and brainstorm again if i should remake the song. i'll test them on the design cycle and see if the song helped them pass or not. and see the average of them who passed cause of the song.

Design Specification

  • teach the underclassmen about the design cycle.
  • teach them in a fun way.
  • make them really understand it.
  • make it 2-3 minutes long.
  • explain what its used for.
  • make sure it works for them
  • use many materials to make it catchy for them

                                 Test For My Product.
I will give the a group of people a quiz after they hear the song 2 times back to back, make them get the song inside their heads and see of it worked. but before that, ill just let them study from a paper and compare the passing or failing averages, so more like  comparing the test score to each other to see if its an improvment.

I chose sample 1 because its the kind of music im into and many is also, its a song thats mixed with variaty of types of music that will go with it and make it catchy and persuasive for others to hear.

Sample1:

A song with, Beats, lots of harmony, rythym, melody lyrical songs that explanes everything about the Design cycle.

Sample2:

A song with harmony and melody no beats, rhythym, and a lyrical song that explaines everything.

Sample3:

A song with beats, not many harmony not melody,
mostly kinda like hip-hop/rap.

CHIRBIT.

CHIRBIT.
in CHIRBIT i gave music a 4 because the music was  great but its wasn't the best, the instructions wasn't as clear as other websites, but the sample music wasn't what i was really looking for. the type of music i want is very pacific, i don't just want to create a regular song just to get a good grade i want to make a song that will be used for the other incoming under-classmens. The type of sound it was making wasn't as high quality as WAVOSAUR, and thats one of the many important thing that i want in the sing i am planning to make.
I gave the melody a 3 because even tho it gives you it for free the instructions arn't really clear and its difficult for me to learn by myself in this website that i am not really used to, and also the tone of it wasnt the kind i was expecting it wasnt as good as WAVOSAUR. i need somthing unique but this website wasnt really great. Its a good website expet not for what im looking for.
I gave harmony a 5 because it was almost exactly like the one in WAVOSAUR, and in the one in WAVOSAUR is amazing. The harmony steps in CHIRBIT was detailed and easy to fallow you can   easyly fallow tghem and when you mess up you can go back and make it better. it dosnt spaz up like many harmonics websites do. The harmony in this website is vbery sharpen which means it comes out very high definition.
I gave beats a 4 because they were petty cool, but they didnt have a variaty of them like the other one did. It had alot less than the other one,. and i need alot of beats i just cant have a few, but either way theyre really good.

WAVOSAUR.

Wavosaur.

I gave the music in WAVOSAUR a 5 because it has a lot of tips of how to get started with the intro in the song you want to make, the verse and finally the chorus on the song you would want to make. This is a good thing because it gives you steps how to do a full song, instead of doing some seconds.
I gave melody a 5. Just in case if you think that Melody and Harmony is the same thing its not. Melody is a series of notes that in sequences make up the tune. Harmony is made when a similar set of notes( but in diffrent pitch) are played in conjunction with the melody in a way that fits-making chords, this is good because not many sites can give you this, and make it difficult to make the sound you want it to, but in WAVOSAUR it gives you steps by steps and another good tool is that you can cut a part of the song and paste another part together, thats another good thing to make Melody.
I gave Harmony a 5 because its a very good thing to put in a song. If your still confused of harmony and melody being the same, well  just think of a singer performong there own song. now add 2 more singers, one singing in a higher pitch, the other a lower one, they are now singing in harmony. this is a really good thing because it makes people listen to the song more and entertains them and makes them listen to the song more. and for those who don't normaly hear song w/ harmony, it'll be even better for them because they get to experiance a new type of music that they haven't already heard in there life.
I gave Beats a 5 because many people really love hip-hop and even though my song that i'm creating isn't going to be hip-hop i want to give my song a little twist and put something with a catchy tune so people can memorize the lyrics to the song which will end up making them remember the steps of the design cycle. Giving songs a twist to them really makes them noticable. A lot of profesional musicians do it, even tho i'm not a profesional musician..yet(;

BLOOP.

In Create a rap song tools, it gives you websites of free music audio tools you can use to creat your very own song. In this case im ganna use it to make a rap song.Cause im Thug. Im using "Wavosaur"it has all the features to edit audio. it has copy, cut, paste, etc. produce music loops, analyze, record, batch convert. In Wavosaur i can choose which beats i like, i can choose where to cut it, where to paste it how to analyze it, to make it how i want it to hear.
In my conclusion, i beleive "wavosaurs" is the bestest free music audio editing i think there is, it gives you many choices to make your own song you want it to sound like. not many music website give you free beats some make you buy them from there websites, but not this one. This one also gives you steps how to make your song even better. theres also audio tune, where it fixes your voice.
